6. John YELLAND
In the IGI for South Tawton, John is shown as christened 11 Feb 1671, son of John and Margery. His brother Rich Yelland christened 15 May 1677 also shows the parents as John and Margery. James, christened 26 Jun 1670, shows his parents as John and Margaret. There is no record of a marriage of John and Margery or Margaret in South Tawton.
John was a labourer on his son Richard's death in 1700. He was a tailor on his sons James and William's deaths in 1703 and 1705. He was a tailor on the birth of a son and a daughter in 1704 and 1705 on the Parish Register P. 386 and 388.
On LDS Film # 0917531, there is an entry of "Affidavits of Burial in Woollen" on P. 474 for Prudence Yelland on 14 Sep 1731 by Mary Windford.
Elizabeth could have married, John Pillar on 10 May 1720 in South Tawton, Devon, England, or John Pinde on 15 Aug 1721 in South Tawton in the IGI.

On LDS Film # 0917531, there is an entry of "Affidavits of Burial in Woollen" for Richard Yelland on P. 248 on 9 Feb 1700/01 by Mary Merchant. He is also shown on the Burial Records as buried 9 Feb 1700/01.
The Baptism Records show John and Richard Yelland, sons of John and Prudence, christened 21 Jan 1699/1700.

On Film # 0917531, there is an entry of "Affidavits of Burial in Woollen" for James Yelland on P. 245 on 13 Jul 1703 by Mary Merchant.
15. William Yelland
In the IGI, A0375 for Devon, Page 42082, there is a male Yelland, born 13 Jul 1704, to John and Prudence Yelland, but on Page 42103, he is shown as William Yelland, christened 13 Jul 1704, parents John and Prudence Yelland.
On Film # 0917531, there is an entry of "Affidavits of Burial in Woollen" for William Yelland on P. 317 on 22 May 1705 by Joyce Stephens and also in the Burial Records, son of John and Prudence, father a tailor.
On the IGI film A0375, Page 42102, Devon, England, on his marriage to Susanna Yelland, he is listed as Robert Marker, serial sheet 32, and also Robert Markes, serial sheet 1307.
In the IGI for South Tawton, Rich Yelland is shown as christened 15 May 1677, son of John and Margery. His brother John Yelland christened 15 May 1677 and his sister Susana, chiristened 6 Jan 1679/80, also shows the parents as John and Margery. James, christened 26 Jun 1670, shows his parents as John and Margaret. There is no record of a marriage of John and Margery or Margaret in South Tawton.
