INNES Geoffrey William Born September 24, 1948 in Hamilton, New Zealand, Geoffrey passed away August 23, 2009 with his loved ones by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his father William Innes, and is survived by his loving partner Maureen, beloved children Alyssa, Tyler and their mother Tara (former wife), mother Lesley, siblings, Murray (Sharon), John (Jan), Christine (Neil) and Tricia, grandchildren, Lucas and Victoria, and several cousins, nephews and nieces. Geoffrey came to Canada from his homeland of New Zealand in 1970, and in the mid 70's formed his company Tasman Construction. He was an avid rugby player and member of the Richmond Rugby Club. He will be remembered for his cheeky Kiwi humour, passion for cars and motorcycles, devotion to family and friends, and the love of a cold pint. A viewing will be held from 12pm - 12:45pm on Saturday, August 29th, 2009 at Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Rd, Richmond, with a memorial service to follow at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Agency.
