512. John YELLAND
In the IGI, John Yelland, christened 18 Mar 1734 and his siblings; Prudence, Elizabeth, and possibly Jane; show the father as John, no mother listed. They are in the same batch number as John Yelland and Rebecca Mallard (Mallett)'s marriage in South Tawton, Devon (C052351 and M052351); therefore, I am quite confident that John and Rebecka are their parents. Jane could possibly be the daughter of John and Mary King, married 9 Oct 1736.
In the IGI for South Tawton, John Yelland, christened 8 Mar 1709, and all of his siblings, show the parents as John and Prudence, who married 13 Mar 1695 in South Tawton.
513. Rebeccca MALLETT
Rebecca Mallett was recorded in the parish marriage register and the IGI as 'Mallard'; her name and several others were recorded incorrectly within a five year period in the register according to Richard Mallett [mister.mallett@ntlworld.com].
