Ann Brooks has done an extensive study
on her Family Tree which includes a Yelland branch.
This branch starts with
John Yelland, (b. abt 1782) in probably,
Stoke Damerel, Devon.
John married Mary Hewett, 22 Jul
1808, at Stoke Damerel, Devon.
Fay
(Yelland) Pascoe has a Yelland Tree
which starts with Jane
Yelland. She was born abt 1784, in
??? Cornwall), "not married."
The following is a Sworn Statement of
Jane Yellan [sic] in the Parish of St. Dominick,
Cornwall, that

of her expected child, dated 8th August 1804.

Here is a very interesting "Biography
of Richard Collings Yelland 1834-1903"
Chief Officer, Liverpool Fire Salvage Corps, written by
Fay Pascoe.
Fay wrote this as an entry for a
competition to celebrate the 50th Anniversary
of the
"Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical
Studies."
Joyce (Yelland) Mohr, late, of
Tisdale, Saskatchewan, Canada was also from the Richard
Collings Yelland branch. Her branch of the
Yelland tree (Thomas
Edward Yelland, born 31 Dec 1861 in
Liverpool, England) immigrated to Manitoba, and later to
Saskatchewan, Canada in 1883 and took part in the Riel
Rebellion in 1885.
